One of the greatest joys in the life of the church is welcoming new members into our faith community. During our recent New Member Service, we celebrated God's work in the lives of those who have chosen to make Mt. Zion United Methodist Church their church home.

Membership is more than adding names to a roll—it is a commitment to walk together in faith, worship, service, and fellowship. As United Methodists, we promise to support one another through our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. Together, we grow as disciples of Jesus Christ and share God's love with our community and the world.

We are grateful for each person who has answered God's call to become part of the Mt. Zion family. Each of these individuals brings unique gifts, experiences, and talents that will strengthen the ministry of our church. As members of this congregation, they have committed to supporting the church through their prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. In return, we commit ourselves to encouraging them, walking alongside them in faith, and helping them discover the many ways they can use their gifts to serve Christ.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to our newest members:

  • Doug Alexander
  • Catherine Morgan
  • Kim Dines
  • Raymond and Brandi Sydnor
  • Julie Sharpe
  • Eric and Karen Johnston

The Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12:27: "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." We celebrate that our church family has grown, and we are excited for all God has in store as we serve together.

If you see our newest members in worship or at an upcoming event, take a moment to introduce yourself, share a conversation, and help them feel at home. Together, may we continue to be a church where all people experience God's grace, find belonging, and discover opportunities to grow in faith.

We give thanks for the ways God continues to bless and grow Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Welcome to Mt. Zion!
