The Veterans of Helen invite you to join them for the 41st Annual Veterans Day Observance, a special community gathering to honor and pay tribute to all veterans and active-duty military members who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
The ceremony is open to the general public, and everyone is encouraged to attend as we come together to show our gratitude and appreciation for the men and women who have served our country.
Stay afterward for food, fellowship, and music!
Following the ceremony, the Mt. Zion United Methodist Men (UMM) will offer food and refreshments for sale, including stuffed ham sandwiches, steamed oysters, pulled pork sandwiches, and more!
Enjoy some good old-fashioned bluegrass music by Spoon Creek while spending time with friends and neighbors.
Bring your family, invite a friend, and join us as we honor our veterans and celebrate the spirit of community. Let us never forget the men and women who answered the call to serve.
As part of this year's remembrance, flags will also be placed at veterans' gravesites in Mt. Zion Cemetery, courtesy of the Veterans of Helen, honoring those who served and remembering the sacrifices they made.
All are welcome!
